Creative Week: Paper

This is one tired Mama posting a few pics of our Paper Crafts Day before she falls into bed exhausted.

Today, my mom came over and did paper crafts with the kids. She taught them how to make all sorts of pop-up cards. She and I had a good laugh when we realized she was initially leaving all of them in the dust except The Talker. His mind totally wrapped around this concept and took off running. Eventually they all caught on, but The Talker went wild with this and created these well into most of the day!

It also ended up being a very cool project because recently Mini-Me came to me and said, “Mom, there must be a whole lot of children out at the Children’s Hospital that don’t get a Christmas card. I’m gonna make some for them.” She has plugged away for the last week or so and after our craft today, she had 200 cards to send with my mom who was going to take them to the hospital for her!

Here are some pics of what was created. I went in search of peppermint so we could do baking day tomorrow, but no luck. So tomorrow will be lanyard day while I hunt down peppermint for some baking on Friday!
