Day 1 and Day 2 went well with The Great Pantry Challenge. It sort of “upped” the challenge to add in a day field trip to the aquarium, but we did it! It certainly would’ve been easier to go the convenient route and spend money to eat out somewhere, but to be honest we barely had enough for the parking and dinner. So eating out for lunch was not an option. I had to make our lunch. We ended up eating every last crumb of the peanut butter & honey sandwiches, chips, apples and grapes. In fact, everyone was still hungry enough to eat what I’d brought for snack along with their lunch. So we managed and were able to reward ourselves with dinner at In-n-O*t Burger on the way home. We purposely had to choose a less expensive reward, but it was a reward none-the-less. Let there be no doubts that we loved every bite of our favorite place to eat!
Nice! Yes, eating healthy (and without spending a wad) is always harder on the road. I hear ya!
